I drank out of my horn and there’s an odd taste. Is that normal/safe?
You’re probably tasting the bitterness of the butcher block oil used to cure the horn after carving. It helps the horn keep its shine and to maintain the quality of the design. While the taste is very bitter, it’s perfectly safe to consume.
